About Me

Hello!

I pursue lifelong learning and thrive on extending the same opportunity for the advantage of others. I hope to create training that makes people’s jobs, and therefore their lives, better and more enjoyable. My writing and design seek to enhance training in online learning, instructor-led classes, and document design. The ability to persuade others to learn or encourage certain practices is something I strive for through my writing.

For over 10 years, I have worked in the telecommunications and software industries in various departments, succeeding in part due to my technical aptitude, but also because of my ability to work with other people in many different work functions and on different levels. Because this ability is crucial to work effectively with other designers and subject matter experts, I am able to design courseware that benefits different types of clients and enhances their learning. I incorporate technical writing standards, persuasion techniques, adult learning methodologies, and graphics into courseware to keep learners engaged and participative in learning organizations. The learner experience holds great importance to me because I believe in its necessary role in providing meaningful training and performance improvement for success!

For the last eight years, I've been employed as Instructional Designer for a software-as-a-service company, developing Adobe Captivate software training individually and with other developers for the majority of my working hours. Recently, I've added Camtasia and Articulate to my design and development playbook.
